Yes I lost out on this one at a Newmarket auction but they have bumped up their purchase price a fair bit! Shame as I was after it for a client linked to the Hospital.Never mind, next time maybe.

Checkout the LH that's gone on today on the auction site £51 at the moment!

myk1066

It's at £98 with less than 10 mins to go.  Final guess anyone?

Good quality and period named badges from the London will always find a customer and this one reached £113 which I thought was fair.It is very difficult however to explain the difference in a badges worth to a non nurse as they see one nurse badge fetch this so therefore why isn't their badge worth the same.
I was approached by someone with a number of a scarce badge that he wanted to sell.Originally I told him that normally I would expect one such badge to go for £.. however as he had a large quantity he couldn't understand why that price went down considerably. From being a rare badge his find would have made this a very common item and consequently worth very little. He hasn't got back to me but I may reveal more if these appear on Ebay any time soon!

Ooo, I love a mystery, do let us know if he gets back to you!  It was a similar thing with all the LH badges that were about last year, the seller was asking a ridiculous price for the batch.

Hi.

Perhaps the answer lies in 'Game Theory' ?

Will.

Peter, do you have anymore of the London Hospital badges?

myk1066

Nice London already at £53 with 12 bids already on a certain auction site, will it make that price Peter is selling his for, guesstimates please!

myk1066

Another nice 1902 1904 badge just gone on sale £10 with 2 bids.  Could this be a run of LH's coming onto the market?

I can't believe that Pets is still there I think his at a good price and it would be heading to Fife if I didn't already have it

myk1066

£57 & £155 the last 2 LH's went for, amazing the differences in price, I wonder if the is anything significant about the nurse the £155 one went for?

Don't think Logic came into it.The luck of the draw on the day as is often the case.I still have a couple of clients after these but with fairly specific requests,I'd say the £100 range is average, less than £80 a bargain, more than £120 dear. The market will always decide.

myk1066

Are your clients after pre issued or unissued?

myk1066

Did anyone buy any in bulk from that seller last year?

myk1066

A damaged LH gone on sale earlier today, £15, no bids as yet, will there be a frenzy?
