Hi all,I started my general nurse training (SRN) in may 1980 and was based at the royal East Sussex hospital in Hastings.we also had placements in the nearby St.Helens hospital and The Buckanon maternity unit.It was a small set and we all qualified in July 1983.our biggest disappointment was we were not awarded our silver badges as the GNC had been taken over by the UKCC just before our finals !
