I remember seeing a photo on this site with nurse badges pinned to its area on a map of the UK I noticed a dark blue version of the Edinburgh sick kids badges and from that day ( many moons ago) I was determined to find it and after a long search I found it albeit a wee bit battered and bruised but I knew I had to have it and after some serious negotiations it finally headed to Fife

Yes I paid over the odds but it was a must have but even though its a tad bruised I love it

Well done, a stunning set.  What is the significance of the royal blue badge?

A nice group, well done Sue. I find it so finding that the advent of the internet missed the demise of Schools of Nursing by a few years. We lost so much of the collective knowledge about the history and detail of nursing badges. It is a real shame that it wasn't all recorded, would make our lives far easier!
