Good morning All
This morning I received a message supposedly from PayPal telling me my account access was limited and to click on a link to remove the limitation. It looked genuine but began "Dear PayPal member". I rang Customer Services to be told it was a phishing email,NOT to click on the link and to forward it to their fraud dept which I have done. I was told that any genuine email will always begin "Dear (Christian name/ surname).

Hi.

Well warned!  Never respond to any financial enquiry without first checking - and don't us any supplied telephone numbers.

I suppose it's a case of never supplying information about anything unless you have independently confirmed precisely who you are dealing with.

I get these all the time even from banks I don't bank with so I never respond Also beware of the phone as phishing can be done this way by people claiming to be from your bank or even the police. On about banks hope the no vote is affecting Wilf too much.!!!

I've had the emails too but not PayPal ones.  I delete all the bank ones including those that tell me my Halifax TSB, RBS etc etc details have changed even though I only use one bank!
