Well folks todays badge went for £72, too much for me I'm afraid. The latest is now £15.49 but no doubt that will go up rapidly in the last few minutes just like todays.

A London Hospital has just gone on ebay tonight, it's dated 1980-1982 & issued to Alison Peacock.  Is this a badge issued to an EN, if so were both types of badges issued to EN's?

No, I dont think so , only after conversion; did the archives mention this when you emailed them?

Guess what.....................you guessed it.  I wonder how many he really has? ??? ??? ???

Magpie

Yes there are now another 2 Registered and 1 Enrolled badges up for auction!!

Sarah Rogers

Both buyers seem to have loads, and of all the variations....

Magpie

Latest registered LH badge has gone for £77! I'm never going to get one at this rate. I thought that the prices would drop with the glut of them.

I was up in my loft( archive/library/Treasure room)earlier today and came across a number of Nursing league journals including one from The London Hospital from July 1989.I have taken the liberty of adding a photo of the Presidents badge to the albums but I don't think this is one that we will aim for(unless there are a drawer full somewhere???)

Sarah Rogers

Well done, I saw our president wearing it last month, it is stunning!

backman

Nice to see it is still being used.No chance of borrowing it then Liz? What isn't clear is whether it is mounted on a silver or gold Background?
It reminds me of when I served on some of the RCN bodies, the chair of the Occupational Health Forum had her chain of office with her after a conference, which rather resembled a mayoral chain and was pretty weighty.I dare such regalia are now consigned to the vaults but each one was a work of art in itself

Sarah Rogers

tHAT would be nice, it is silver , I think...and is much nicer in the flesh! I ought to ask to take a photo!, but will look inside the league mags to see if anyone is wearing it.
