Whilst I do have a few from the original seller, of both the EN & RN, of the new batch of unissued LH badges, I think I will put them to the back of my cupboard for prosperity and heed the advice of a wise owl.

£82 was the final price for the last new unissued LH RN badge, so they are still commanding relatively high prices!

have just discovered a rather nice London hospital badge in the USA complete with box if anyone is interested

I've emailed the seller to see if they know how it ended up in the US.

The seller responded & they know nothing about the badge or person it belonged to or how it came to being in the US!

A nice 1943 LH gone ion ebay, is it in the right box?

One of the new unissued LH's RN version sold for £122.  Not a bad price considering the recent finding of them, I could make a mint on the ones I bought from him but I'm holding on for prosperity (or swaps).  The EN version went relatively cheaply considering they are rarer!

I aksed about box: Box front - black with a gold band around the edge (no writing), the big one I have i am pretty sure has the LH name on the box, and I think the badge fits better....

I've just looked at my 2 different sized LH a SoN badges, the much larger badge does have a bigger box, which is square in shape, it's black with a gold coloured wavey border with the LH crest & the lettering The London Hospital School of Nursing in gold.  The inside of the box is lined with black velvet & the badge lies on top with a fine groove for the pin to fit into, it isn't a recessed circle like the one on ebay.  The inside of lid of the box is lined in cream silk & has gold lettering John Pinches London encircled with a diamond shape.

The smaller LH badge is also in a black box but has rounded corners, the inner lining is exactly the same as the above.  The external lid of the box again is the same as the above minus the gold coloured wavey border.

The recent batch of LH badges come in the usual cheap plastic boxes, dark bade, foam inner & clear lid.

I suspect the badge box on ebay isn't original.
