Hi, does any one have an idea about this, a friend  found a refernece to this at the Society of genealogists:
'What does MBC mean in relation to a nurses name in 1922.  Is it a military honour?'  ; i have googled and got no obviuos answers,
  many thanks, Sarah

Don't believe that it's military. I've not come across this one before and I suppose context and detail might help, but (Guessed) options are Metropolitan(Asylum)Board Certificate or Midwives Board Certificate(although i think this would have been Central Midwives Board).Either might be possible as there were transcription errors in many written forms of documentation?
