Are the Prince of Wales Hospital and the Prince of Wales Orthopaedic Hospital, Cardiff one and the same?

backman

Probably not Barry. There is the Prince of Wales Hospital Tottenham and their badges are the gold coloured ones surmounted by the POW feathers and a dove, notable for the large version which was a cloak badge.

That prompts two more queries, (1). how much larger is the Cloak badge  for P.O.W. H. Tottenham, (2). what it the reverse finding on the cloak badge.

backman

Standard badge 30mm pin back finding, Cloak badge 50mm with lug finding. On the larger badge the POW feathers and dove are separate castings mounted onto the badge.A very nice piece,I think there was a cloak badge on ebay somewhere as a buy it now for quite a while but it may well have since gone.see ;http://www.flickr.com/photos/36611823@N07/3374984881/in/photolist-69eFqv
