Hi , i have just bought as part of a badge set a general infirmary leeds, and noticed when comparing it with my other GIL that it was a much darker colour, the earlier badge(only about 5 years  is a much paler purple colour) I wasabout to sell the one not part of a set. Both are silver, the earlier  pale lilac enamelled badge is hallmarked and dated 1937-1942.
Any advice gratefully recieved, Lizzie

I would assume its either a differant manufacturer and or its been in strong sunlight for a period of time and has altered coluor.

Hi there.
I have both the dark blue & the lilac/purple coloured ones in my collection, I think the lilac/purple one is earlier version.  Ill root them out & let you know any differences.
