Chanced upon some nice links for those interested in nursing and hospital histories which members may like to check out.
Some really nice groups now on Flickr but this link for the Lothian Health Service Archive has some nice badges; http://www.flickr.com/photos/49439570@N08/

I was very impressed by some of the work of this company that produces display boards for hospitals of their histories  ; http://www.hospitalartstudio.co.uk/locations.html

Great source for those looking at London Hospitals: http://ezitis.myzen.co.uk/alphabeticallist.html

Dartford's Hospital History; http://www.dartfordhospitalhistories.org.uk/

Hi Peter.

Nice additions - I personally like the Lothian link best. I think that we have a new member who may have originated from Joyce Green Hospital (Dartford Link I think) - He may not be logged in but no doubt he will see this when he does and will perhaps comment.

Best.

Hello everyone,

Managed to log in for the first time yesterday and am now looking forward to exploring this site, a new one to me, as and when I have time. I trained in both the Dartford District School of Nursing and The Bethlem Royal & Maudsley Hospitals back in the 60s and 70s. Anyone interested might like to try googling Joyce Green Hospital and accessing my JG-related blog, although having suggested this I should point out that I haven't made any entries in it for a long time. David.

Hi.

That's quite a history Peter - I recognize a reasonable amount from personal experience at another large psychiatric hospital, but this history is comprehensive. I will probably have another look if the future. I wonder if any Gold or Silver medals were awarded?
