North Western London Hospital badge.

The above mentioned went for £170 approx.  Was this a prize medal badge, as some were issued in gold that were prize badges.  Most are blue Enamelled.  Any answers?

I believe that this is indeed one of those Silver prize medals,hence the stiff competition for it.Scarce and desirable badges will always command a premium and the only reason most Nursing badges sell for relatively little is the fact that most collectors are Nurses and therefore have little spare cash( and look to continue that way for a few more years yet if yesterdays budget is anything to go by!)
