I am hoping some people may be able to assist me.
My mother did her general nursing training at King Edward V11 Hospital in Windsor 1943-1946.
She studied her midwifery at Southlands Hospital in Brighton around 1952.
She also worked at Worthing Hospital in Lyndhurst Road, at Altrincham General Hospital and at Salisbury Royal Infirmary.
Mother obtained her third certificate, the Children's Nursery Certifciate at Guildford Technical School, whilst working with evacuated children from London, whom were sent to Woking. This was in 1941-42.
Her name was Dorothy Marguerite Louise Ambler, born in Folkestone in 1921.
She emigrated to Australia in 1957 to work at Canberra Community Hospital.
I am trying to find out anything at all about mother's nursing years in England.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have official confirmation of her training dates and exam finals at Windsor.
