Some time ago I posted in a photo of the January 1970 Mayday school of Nursing set.At that time similar photos were displayed on the opening page in turn -anyway, I have since searched the forums and it seems to have fallen into a black hole-did some of the photos get lost Will, do you recall?

would be interested to know as have other photos I could post onto the site.

Hi Jan.

Good to hear from you. No, all seems to be in order - we posted the photographs in our news pages:-

http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/Newspages/Newspage014.htm

and:-

http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/Newspages/Newspage013.htm

Both are still up and on-line in the news archives - http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/Newspages/Newsarchive1.htm

Both had links below each respective photograph taking visitors to training school details http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/CroydonnEdcSWM74.htm

Both news page photographs also had respective links to our photo galleries - news page 13 here:- http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/Galleries1/HerdJan57.htm

And news page 14 here:- http://www.schoolsofnursing.co.uk/Galleries1/HerdJan73.htm

From memory ( and remembering Maurice Chevalier!) that was it. But I will trawl back through our emails if you think that I have missed something Jan - it is possible and I would hate to think that I had wasted material which is still in short supply. Please do let me know if that is the case - you are most welcome. But then you probably know that!

On the other hand, our computers automatically access our local servers when we request information - it is possible that I am seeing something that you are not. Equally, itis possible that your own machine needs it's cache clearing (it should clear itself automatically but sometimes machines get hiccoughs!) - in which case you are not seeing what is actually there.... Try the links for me Jan, if they solve the problem then all is well. If not come back and we will sort the issue. Promise.

Will
Ps. If any link does not work automatically for you when clicked - copy/paste it into your browser address bar - that should do the trick. If anyone else has this problem don't hesitate to tell us.

Hi Jan.

Knights in shining armor on white chargers - ladies in distress - my ego ten times too big for my head....

It has been a pleasure!  But then of course I didn't have to do anything - my favourite sport.... I do hope that you eventually find some of your colleagues, but I wonder sometimes whether I could find any of mine.  Well. I do know one - from my second training school, but then he became godfather to our son. Some hospitals seem to have created closer bonds than others - my wife still corresponds with a small number of her first training school set (GOSH) and we have had visits from three and ourselves visited a further member - and she trained more than 40 years ago.... Mind, I like her a lot too!

Take care Jan, keep in touch,
Will.
