Hi guys
Just seen a GNC badge on the auction site & it's listed at £100, does anyone know if this is a significant persons GNC badge? Item No 380780125043

I don't believe that there is anything specific about these badges that merits such a price.Rather the rising prices realised for different nursing items has encouraged vendors to jump on the potential bandwagon in the hope that they too will reap the rewards.Simple response is to ignore such silly prices.
High sale prices tend to encourage more high prices, also copies and forgeries.I am quite surprised that at several hundred pounds a pop that some enterprising badge manufacturer(perhaps in India) has started selling Nightingale badges as this was a frequent problem with some military badges and put me off collecting those.

Hi....

Or is that the pun, 'Hi'?

As some will know GNC badges are one of my areas of specialism:-

I still have the second (detailed) part of that article to cover, but I think that I can cover the immediate debate 'immediately'....  Unless I have missed something obvious, there appears nothing special about that badge - the year is a little rare, but other than that I can see absolutely no justification for the asking price.  I do know some a couple of examples that I would pay a high prices (not more than 50GBpounds) for, but unless someone unearths GNC 1, I can only think that the price is related to 'chancing an arm', complete lack of knowledge, a relative who wants the badge or something of that order, it's not worth more than maybe 25 GBPounds in my book... It looks like a price one can afford to ignore at all costs!

Will.

Alas it didn't sell & despite me asking the seller their reason for such a high price, they didn't reply!
