I recently went through Macclesfield and saw that Parkside Hospital has now gone, but seeing the old buildings brought back many happy memories. Would love to get in contact with anybody who worked there in the mid to late 1980's.

Hello Ian,

I wasn't at Parkside in the period you mention, but I did my RMN there and qualified in 1964. I worked there for a while before moving on in the Manchester/Nottingham areas. I was originally a hospital cadet (starting 1958!) so was at Parkside for a number of years, and like you have some very fond memories, although, having looked at Google earth there doesn't seem to be a lot left of the original hospital. Feel free to respond - you are, I know, looking for friends from a different era! Best Regards.
Will.
