Hi, does anyone know if badges were awarded to staff working in the finding hospitals:
3rd London Territorial (wandsworth)
and nottingham millitary hospital/ bagthorpe
and would a territorial Force matron have been awarded them?
many thanks, Lizzie

In answer to the two questions, No & No.

To elaborate on my previous answer, any nurse would only recieve a badge for her/his training hospital.
The one badge/medal the matron may have had was either a Territorial Nursing medal worn on the left hand side of her tippet and/or a Queen Alexandria's Military Nursing Service medal (one or the other not both - also there have been 3 patterns of the first mentioned medal and 2 patterns of the second medal). The matron may also have been gazetted and awarded either an A.R.R.C. or an R.R.C.

Because it was W.W.1, she should have had a Q.A.I.M.N.S.R. medal and her R.R.C., however they would not usually have been worn together.
