Title: Affiliated Training Hospitals
Post by: backman on November 17, 2015, 05:21:48 PM
Having acquired the Lymington Hospital & Hampstead General Hospital badge and thinking of the Wisbech Hospital affiliated with Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge badges,I was set to wonder how many other such partnerships people could think of? And which ones were the most distant from each other?

The current Betsi Cadwaladr Trust (North Wales), has three District General Hospitals namely Ysbyty Gwynedd(Bangor), Ysbyty Glan Clwyd (near Rhyl) & Ysbyty Maelor (Wrexham), they still issue a single badge for all these hospitals, some of the student nurses also go to Llandudno G.H. and Abergele Hospital.

There is a Plymouth and Royal Naval Nurse Training School combined badge and the second pattern Army School of Psychiatric Nursing for both R.M.N's (blue rim) and S.E.M.N's (green rim) which had the chapel of Netley Hospital on but where issued after Netley closed (1978) at Q.E.M.H. Woolwich.
