Was a psychiatric hospital opened in 1896 as Cotford Asylum. The name was changed in 1947 to Tone Vale Hospital by the incoming Medical Superintendent -
Dr Kenneth C Bailey. It finally closed short of its centenary about 1995. The housing estate developed on the site reverted the name to Cotford St Luke. I was
Charge Nurse for ten years at their psychiatric day hospital - Ivor House Social Health Centre, situated in the centre of Taunton. Hope this some help!
