Title: Belmont Hospital
Post by: barrysutton on December 11, 2012, 03:22:19 PM
I see that a Belmont Hospital badge has come up, I think that it was the former Physciatric Hospital for Hereford.

Hi Barry
The Hereford Asylum was called Burghill, in parish of St Mary and sometimes called St Mary's, Burghill. I had a great aunt and uncle who were mental nurses there when I was little. My mother told me about them. Hope this helps.
Best wishes.  Rosemary

That would be me again, sorry! It has been added to the photo gallery although a postcard of the hospital (based in Sutton Surrey) failed to load.
A Nice item that rarely comes up

My apologies as there is a suburb of Hereford called Belmont, so to get this right where was Belmont Hospital and what type of patients did it serve, I do have an example of this badge.
