I was the underbidder at auction on this so know how much he paid, which was £485 plus commission. Admittedly a fine example in it's original case but I would think a tad excessive but then again i think I lack the killer instinct to be a trader. I've just seen two Royal Worcester figurines listed which again I was the underbidder and the dealer stands to make a 400% profit! The demand for quality items is bringing all sorts of dealers into the arena as they see money to be made .I can't say too much as that's exactly what I do but I feel that some prices are a little optimistic?

Forgot to mention that the nightingale was also sold with a George III Quarter guinea gold coin which is usually valued at between £200-400,so not a bad days work!
