Title: Swires Handbook for the Enrolled Nurse

Does anyone know who the nurse is/was on the front cover & how many editions there were? I've seen a 2nd, 4th & a 5th edition. I believe it was first published in 1949 as Swires Handbook to Assistant Nurses.
