I have managed to pick up a number of negatives(some of them unfortunately damaged)which appear to have been taken for a prospectus for a hospital school of nursing in the 1960s.I have had these developed but due to their size can't add them here(Will do please help yourself if inclined).I have stuck them on my flickr pages in the meantime if anyone wants to look and would welcome comments if anyone can help identify the location.I believe it is most likely to relate to Leicester, possibly the LRI.
Enjoy!

Hi Peter.

Nice job with the negatives - credits! I am not sure about the hospital, but there are a couple of clues. No doubt you have already noticed them. The uniform - mainly the cap:-

But on the basis that everyone remembers their teachers, I have attemped to attach a photograph below, although only logged-in members will be able to see it. There are also a couple of photographs with notices displayed. One with an ambulance delivering a patient, and one with a nurse with an opthalmic ward patient:-

The notice is behind the lamp arm - which looks like it could be an ECT machine connected to the nurses head! But the notice may hold clues. The photo's look 1950's to me - the ambulance - and the seams in the stockings. I must be getting old as the first thing I checked was were they straight! (With due respect to the ladies!).

All the photographs are a superb addition to our history Peter. Lets hope that someone can identify the hospital...

Will.
