Am I the only one who thinks that the majority of Badges appearing on ebay of late are fairly boring and overpriced? There must be undiscovered gems out there but the demand and consequent rise in prices doesn't seem to have flushed them out? So much so that I've reverted back to dealing in non nursing collectables with far more enjoyment.

for me an undiscovered gem is a Scottish badge that I don't already have and the success of a winnning bid to secure said badge. Prices have always fluctuated but as a seller I am pleased when an item goes for more than I thought.. I have noticed that some of the rarer Irish badges, much to the annoyance of my 2 friends who collect them, have reached a rather large price. As a buyer my funds raised by my sales are ploughed back into buying those overpriced must have badges - oh but the joy when the postman delivers them makes it all worth while

That'll be the green enamelled one I take it Sue?  Well done.

Hi.

Yes, I agree with all that - and enjoyed reading that Sue is still (I think) getting a kick out of collecting.  But like Peter, I find ebay a bit boring, listless and overpriced right now..., Hopefully that will change soon.

But for myself there is perhaps only one gem left - my wife's GOSH scarf which I inadvertently (maybe even carelessly) left in a SNO's car a few years ago. He promised it's return but I suspect that he may still be wearing it....!!!

If ever anyone sees one (triple blue) please put me out of my misery and sell it to me, I would love to be able to return to my wife the property so carelessly abandoned and to be able to stop looking at last... Will

I enjoy the hunt for an elusive badge and the  thrill of the chase to get it and yes Mike it was the green Glasgow Vic and the peel borders , albeit, a wee bit damaged

Hi.

Yes, well done Sue.  The Peel badge and set are on-line, many thanks.  I wonder if the Glasgow badge is already up and I have missed it?

And will I ever find that GOSH scarf do you think ?!!

Will.
