RMPA Medals

Not sure if it's been covered before but I've seen RMPA Medals with different ribbon attachments including red/maroon, blue, green & lately a yellow & red striped one.  Is this correct, did different hospitals have different ribbon attachments?

I don't know the answer to this one myk - perhaps Peter or another can enlighten.  There may well be a reason - geographical maybe.
