Sorry me again! I found that by finding the links it should be possible to view the whole 1945 film "Student Nurse" on the BFI website,at least for the time being.

Hi.

Spent a superb 30min or so this morning watching 'Student Nurses 1945' - including a laparotomy! The two featured students made it all the way to collecting their badges and certificates. Those so smart uniforms, the caps, the badges - the morning tea trolley, including mugs and tea-pot as the bed lights came on at 6am! And so very much more... Unfortunately I had to keep the sound turned off!!  I will be back for more of this Peter - my time was 13 years later to the start but I remember almost all (I think) although by the time I finished (1990's +) almost everything had completely changed. But oh' - the size of those O' Theatre wellies!!!

I confess to missing the badge of the ?Matron/nurse tutor - was it Charing Cross I wonder.....

**Oops - apologies Peter - my attention (deficit!) seems quite marked sometimes! I see that you have already supplied the badge information I asked about. W.

re Edith cavells funeral, two executive committee members ( Royal London League of Nurses)went to the unveiling of the carriage which rbought her body home from europe in ?1918, , one dressed up in her uniform? last december, (also it was the same railway carriage which carried the body of the unknown soldier), it is on the restored line which runs between Tentertwn and bodiam.
