Another year consigned to the dustbin of history, yet more challenges ahead.I have been very disappointed to see the lack of postings on the site  last year but perhaps we could try harder this year? I think we all fail to appreciate how much effort goes into keeping the site alive and the debt of thanks we owe to Wilf for setting it up in the first place. Well as we know from previous sites it could be a case of use it or loose it and I would hate to see that happen. We seem to have migrated to FB(which I detest but use) for instant likes but that really is no replacement for a well balanced and laid out site such as this. For all the interest in Nursing Badges and a wealth of new collectors we appear to have come little farther forward in our knowledge or study of their history. Any suggestions as to how we might revitalise this site or are people just happy to view pics (what I call badge Porn!) Over to you all for thoughts and suggestions

I totally agree, potential to lose it.  I for one list my badge pictures on here, preferring it over FB.  As you may be aware I do promote the SoN website on FB too as a way of encouraging people to at least view the wealth of badges & other information gained within this site.  FB is a quick fix but by no means is a replacement for this site.

I admit I haven't been as active due to some personal issues.  I keep in touch with Wilf.  I will try and post some more photos. Like most of us my search for that elusive must have badge continues There are 2 Scottish ones that I'm searching for and have only seen photos of them. So Happy new year  and happy badge hunting x

You need to ask Sue on the private messaging Myke.

As for the visits to SoN - our last report (today)shows over 2500 visits, not bad for a UK Nursing History site.   I notice very many more when the University students are searching the site for history items associated with our site.  But I agree that we need to keep pushing as hard as we can.  I for one would love a break, been a long time now, and we have overcome many hurdles. All ideas are considered helpful.  AND - your personal additions which include the information I requested in the past to include essential information is invaluable. So many thanks.

Will
