Can anyone enlighten me as to what the Chase Wing was/is?  Also St Anne's?  I've the 2 pendant badges in my collection.
Thanks in advance.

Cheers for that.  I think the next batch of these badges are doing the rounds.

Hello
I was a DNS at Chase Farm many moons ago. The Chase wing is /was Chase Farm Hospital. It allied itself with North Middx. hospital. There was also Highlands hospital as apart of the group. A badge for sale on ebay at the moment.
Kind regards Allan

Dianne

St Anne's was a general/elderly care hospital in Tottenham in the 1970's.  In 1973 I went to Chase Farm Hospital as a clinical teacher, it was  a general hospital and had been founded as a workhouse infirmary.  When the Enfield And Harringay AHA was formed, the schools of  nursing at Chase Farm, Highlands Hospital and the North Middlesex Hospitals were merged to form the Enfield and Harringay Area School of Nursing.  So Chase Farm became the Chase Wing of this merged school of nursing.  I became a nurse tutor at the school in 1975.

Thanks for that guys, great to see interest in the badges/comments.  Has anyone any photos to upload of the hospital, or training school/nurses?

The Lost Hospitals of London site is always a good source for background. See;http://ezitis.myzen.co.uk/chasefarm.html              http://ezitis.myzen.co.uk/highlands.html
