Hello Dave, have you checked with the Chester archive as to what they hold ? The hospitals search pages for the national archive are  listed here; http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/hospitalrecords/details.asp?id=1399&hospital=chester+royal+infirmary&town=&searchdatabase.x=25&searchdatabase.y=23

The other option is to ask around the hospital itself as I find all manner of people keep items relating to their work.Is there still a hospital staff magazine and have you tried appealing in the local press, particularly if they have a regular memories section?

hope that helps

Regretfully Chester Royal Infirmary is no more as all services were moved to the Countess of Chester Hospital. My daughter worked at CRI and now is a Senior Midwife at the CCH. I will ask about your request, and if there is a museum or archive at the CCH.

Hi Dave,

You could also try http://www.bwpics.co.uk/infirmary.html - they have a nice website and I know some useful photographs. Use their contact link.
